Feb. 10 webinar banner 1

Is it realistic to put an 18-year-old in a time out? What should you do when your 6-year-old acts out at the grocery store?

We know that children with neurologic conditions have a greater incidence of challenging behaviors and that age matters when handling it. We know that traditional behavior management strategies, with consequences and rewards, often don’t work and can sometimes make the behavior worse. We know that caregivers need tools to address both the physical, emotional and intellectual age of their child.

And, we also know that there are a lot of books and theories out there about how to manage difficult behavior, but most focus on young children.

Join us for a one-hour webinar on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 at 3 pm ET, to:

– Learn age-appropriate strategies for managing difficult behavior
– Discover new tools and techniques for better understanding your child’s behavior
– Develop an approach to help stop difficult behavior before it starts

During the session, we will hear from Eileen Devine, LCSW who will share information on a brain first framework – thinking brain first, and then behavior – through which your child’s challenging behaviors are reduced, and caregivers can shift toward greater connection and less frustration in their parenting experience.

We will also hear from Karin Kelley, who will share her experience parenting her 8 year old twin daughters, who have an autism diagnosis and difficult behaviors, and the impact this brain first approach had on her entire family.

It is important to know that your child’s behavior does not mean you are a bad parent and that you are not alone. We hope you will join us on February 10thto learn some age-appropriate strategies for managing difficult behavior.
