The Child Neurology Foundation announces the availability of up to ten (10) summer clinical research scholarships for first- and second-year U.S. and Canadian medical students who have an interest in child neurology.
Awards will be made for clinical research in child neurology, to be conducted under the direction of a child neurologist during the summer break. Selected applicants receive a $3,500 scholarship for their summer project.
Applications should not exceed two pages and should include the following:
The application from the student must also include a letter from the child neurologist mentor agreeing to sponsor the students and oversee the project. The letter should specify that the mentor will be responsible for ethical conduct of research and for obtaining, if necessary, Institutional Review Board evaluation for the research.

Successful applicants will be notified by late April or early May of the decision of the CNF Award Committee.
The child neurologist mentor/sponsor is also responsible for providing a summary of the research to the Child Neurology Foundation—due by September 30. Mentors whose students are selected for the awards may be eligible for an honorarium in recognition of time and effort spent on the project.
