Preparing for Fall: Different perspectives on going back to school

Four parents share how they are preparing to go back to school this and how they came to their decisions, in Part 4 of CNF’s Back To School series.

  • Sarah Berman is the mother of a 12-year-old girl living with myotonic dystrophy, who just started 7th Grade this week.
  • Hillary Savoie is the mom of 9-year-old Esmé, who is medically fragile and has been home from school since March.
  • Yesenia Rosas is the mother of three children, two of whom have a diagnosis of autism, and speech and language impairment. Her daughter also has absence seizures.
  • Lisa Wilson is the parent of an almost 14-year-old daughter, who was born three-and-a-half months premature with an esophageal birth defect, and who is now in middle school.
