The Child Neurology Foundation (CNF) is proud to announce the addition of two distinguished professionals to its Board of Directors: Dr. Geetanjali Rathore and Mr. Jason Schmidt. Their expertise and dedication to child neurology and finance, respectively, are expected to significantly enhance the Foundation’s mission and outreach.

Dr. Geetanjali Rathore
A Leader in Child Neurology

Dr. Geetanjali Rathore, nominated by Board member Dr. Sonika Agarwal and herself, joins the CNF with a stellar background in pediatric neurology. Dr. Agarwal’s nomination highlights Dr. Rathore’s exceptional contributions to child neurology, particularly in underserved areas. With a career marked by achievements and recognition, Dr. Rathore brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board.

Dr. Geetanjali Rathore's Credentials

Board Certification in Pediatric Neurology, Pediatrics, and Epilepsy.
Education from Sampurnan and Medical College, followed by a residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital.
Serving as an Associate Professor in the Division of Neurology at the UNMC Department of Pediatrics.
Recipient of the 2023 American Academy of Neurology Kenneth M. Viste Jr., MD, Patient Advocate of the Year Award.
Subspecialty in Pediatric Vascular Neurology.
Recognition as an Exceptional Woman in Medicine for five consecutive years (2019-2023).
Expertise in epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders.

Mr. Jason Schmidt
A Financial Expert with a Personal Connection

Mr. Jason Schmidt, who joined the board following a self-nomination, brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal commitment. His extensive background in finance and strategy enriches the board’s discussions and decisions, offering invaluable insights from his experience in various roles. This combination of professional acumen and dedicated involvement will contribute significantly to the board’s effectiveness.

Jason Schmidt's Credentials

Vice President of Finance & Administration at the Anti-Defamation League.
Experience in finance, accounting, strategy, and operations.
Previous roles include Director of Finance for The Children’s Place, Sears Holdings, and Liz Claiborne.
Former Chief Financial Officer at New Classrooms, a not-for-profit education technology organization.
Started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the assurance and business advisory services group.
A Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Yeshiva University.
