Audrey is one of the children who received a $1,000 Rise Family Grant from CNF in 2020. Here is a message from her family.
“Audrey goes to weekly therapy appointments and now we are doing full remote schooling for her. It hasn’t been easy being out of routine. She has been through a lot these past few months: we have had 3 EEGs, including a hospital stay for her epilepsy because she developed a new type of seizure.
We are currently on a waiting list for adaptive swimming lessons which will be very good for her. The money will be used for those swimming lessons.
We also will put some away as well because, for years, she has wanted a dog. The 2 dogs in our family (my parents’ and my sister’s dogs) that she has been around – she loves them! Her mood changes, she loves being around them, she is just over all happy which is wonderful to see! We will be getting her a dog in the coming months! My family and I just wanted to thank you all again for this, it means a lot to us!” -Alyssa
